I was supposed to have my period in the middle of august…but i delayed it with the provera pill….i then had what doctors believed to be a ruptured ovarian cyst about 6 days ago. The pain subsided like they said it would and im nearly 100% better. Today I have what I think is my period. Does this make sense? Is it possible that your delayed period returns even after a ruptured ovarian cyst?

What happens right before a cyst ruptures, about 6 months ago i went to the emergency room for pain in my side and i was diagnosed with an cystic mass on my ovaries. So i was sent to a gynecologist instead of ordering a ultrasound they tries to stick this probe into my ******. i am a virgin so it hurt too bad and he got frustrated and told me to get another another catscan. i felt horribly degraded, so i looked up things about ovarian cyts and i read that most of them go away on thier own. so i just been dealing with the pain which goes in and out, and is extra painfull during menstration For the past two weeks the pain in my side has radiated to my lower back and upper thigh and i am not on my period. I’m afraid that my cyst might rupture. i made a terrible mistake in skipping treatment. My doctor can’t see me till the may 22nd. What should i do, go to the emergency room to get a doctor to see me. or risk waitng to see my doctor on may 22nd.
the cyst is 2 inches by 3 inches

My hormones are imbalanced. Is there anything that I can take to get back on track. It has been four months since the cyst ruptured, but I still have tenderness. The doctor told me that my uterus was tilted to one side. Will that decrease my chances of getting pregnant. I want to conceive some time next year.

Thank you

Does this sound more like a ruptured ovarian cyst or kidney stone?

So I am a long distance ultra-marathon runner. I run 2 1/2 to 6 hrs a day (usually within the 3-4 hr range). My body is used to it and I’ve been training like this for a year now. The other day, after my run, I noticed extreme sharp pain in my pelvis. It got to the point where I could not stand up straight and walk, then ********* was so painful I was dizzy, lightheaded, felt like I was going to pass out, sweating perfusely, and felt like I would vomit. I went to the E.R. and they diagnosed it as a ruptured ovarian cyst, but they didn’t know this for sure. It has gone away since, and I have felt no pain. It is just a bit scary to get back to the running as I don’t know if I will feel it again. I am getting back into my running, but I don’t know if the running didn’t trigger this to happen in the first place?
