Ruptured ovarian cyst?

phantom_hj7 asked:

I was diagnosed more than a year ago with PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) and have had issues with ovarian cysts ever since. I’ve had many cysts rupture before so I’m familiar with what happens when it happens. Last Tuesday I felt as though one had ruptured, but the pain has yet to go away. I’ve been alternating between an electric heating pad and tylenol, but neither is working. I’m not big on medicines that will make me drowsy. However, the pain seems to be traveling. It’s on both sides where the ovaries are, but it radiates up towards my belly button and goes around to my lower back to make a sort of ring.

Is this normal for the pain to last this long and, if it is, are there any other medications I can take to aleviate the pain? Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
